Thanksgiving is right around the corner which means that us college girls will be traveling back home to visit our families. Whether you're traveling by car or plane, it can be difficult to feel fresh and look stylish when you're on a germ-filled plane or stuck in a car for hours. That's why I thought this would be the perfect time to share my essentials for looking your best while traveling this Thanksgiving. Here's what I'm taking with me:
Most colleges these days will only give their students a few short days off so I like to bring a tote with me that's roomy enough to fit some clothes and accessories. This one's my favorite since it's a gorgeous emerald green and perfectly compliments any fall outfit.
I swear, lipstick can perk up my mood instantly and always makes me look polished and put together. My favorite kind of fall lipstick is anything in the shade of wine (or maroon, oxblood, or burgundy. There's so many names for it! haha) which you can wear either on it's own or blend it in so it looks like a stain. Plus you can wear it for Thanksgiving dinner and look festive!
Some sparkle never hurt anybody and this statement necklace goes perfectly with a majority of my outfits. Plus it can go from day to night! I'm probably going to pair it with a flannel shirt and jeans while I'm traveling during the day and then for Thanksgiving dinner, pair it with a little black dress.
Dove Dry Spray
To keep me feeling fresh all day, I'm a big fan of the Dove Dry Spray products which comes in so many gorgeous scents and can easily fit into your tote. Dove was kind enough to send me their Dry Spray in the Original scent (my favorite!) and the Soothing Chamomile scent which is new! What I love about these products is that they double up as perfume as well. A couple of weeks ago, I only had this on and forgot to put on perfume and people were asking me what I was wearing! haha. As for the white streaks that you would typically get with other products, I can confirm that I've never seen any while wearing this which is I'm sure is because it's a spray and goes on clear. Highly recommend you try this out if you're sick of having that problem!
During the fall, I pretty much live in ankle boots cause they're so easy to walk in all day yet gives me some height which is definitely needed when you're 5'1 like I am haha. These are a new addition to my closet that I picked up on my trip to NYC and I can honestly say that they're the most comfortable pair of ankle boots I've ever had! Plus the black cap toe makes it look so classy and unique compared to other ankle boots.
