The Summer LBD

Dress: Marshalls (similar 1) (similar 2) (similar 3)// Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in "Wintermint" // Shoes: Topshop // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

When it comes to one of a kind clothes, I always seem to depend on Marshalls. I randomly found this dress there a couple months ago and have been saving it for a good occasion. That good occasion turned out to be working behind the scenes at a fashion show for work, which isn't as glamorous as it sounds haha. Unfortunately, I don't remember who the designer is since I cut off the tag and I haven't been able to spot the dress in any other Marshalls stores ever since! I swear, when you find the last one of something then it's fate that you buy it.

Speaking of fate, these Topshop shoes were also the last ones in store and I splurged on them when I was in London. I normally don't wear pointy flats but these ones I just couldn't resist in my favorite color and with the ankle ties! I've fallen in love with them so much that I'm thinking about getting them in black! If you ever find yourself in London and want to do some amazing shopping then head over to the Topshop on Oxford street. I swear I could spend the whole day in there cause it was so big and plus they have food inside! How awesome is that?! I can't wait to write a post about all the shopping I did there.

Thanks for reading!

Paris Adventures: A Look Inside Laduree

Everyone who comes to Paris always has a bucket list of things to do once they arrive. For me, on the top of that list was going to Laduree and trying macarons for the first time. I was excited to learn that my new travel friends were also looking forward to going so we all planned on our free day to visit the Champs Elysees location.

Right when we got there, there was a long line that was going out the door but of course it was no surprise since it's Paris haha. Just standing outside made me excited but I would've never guessed how beautiful the inside was! Everything about the inside of Laduree is romantic, vintage, and something that looks like a dream. I swear, I would move in there if I could and just eat macarons for the rest of my life! haha.

Although the wait was 20 minutes long (just from the outside), at least the window displays were pretty to look at! I wish I could buy a macaron tree!

Once we got inside, they gave us a menu filled with macaron flavors to look at while we wait even longer in line. From the line inside I got to take a peek at the stunning bar and the endless amounts of desserts, macarons, and the pretty boxes that you can choose to put them in.

Finally it was my turn and it was a relief to see that all the employees there spoke great English. I've noticed in Paris that most people who work in stores speak English so I didn't have that much of a hard time there with the language barrier. I wasn't expecting that! I decided to go with 6 macarons and the classic green box that Laduree is known for. Unfortunately, I don't remember which flavors I got other than the Marie Antoinette (the blue one!) which was my favorite.

Of course, I just had to get one more picture at the exit in order to remember this magical day!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Paris Day 3

"Though I often looked for one, I finally had to admit that there could be no cure for Paris."

The last day in Paris...say it ain't so! This trip was life-changing for me and taught me so many important lessons about life and myself. One of those lessons is how beautiful life can be but the only way to truly understand it's beauty is to take more chances and travel to see it! I can't wait to go on more adventures and be able to share it with you all. Blogging about this trip was an absolute pleasure and made the travel withdrawal a little less painful with your kind comments!

So our last day was our free day so we decided to get a couple more places off our bucket lists. One of them was going to the top of the Arc de Triomphe which in my opinion, is a much better view than from the Eiffel Tower! Probably can actually get a skyline view of the Eiffel Tower from there haha.

Fun fact: The roundabout that surrounds the Arc is the biggest roundabout in the world. There's many tourists that are dumb enough to try to make their way across traffic (which is impossible!) yet little do they know, there's stairs right on the street which takes you underground to the actual entrance of it.

Right when we bought our tickets we found out that the only way to go up the Arc is to take the stairs! Yikes. But we sucked it up and did it and although we were exhausted, the stairs were worth the view!

That's the Champs Elysees which is where we were headed next for some shopping!

Shopping in Paris is a must whether you like fashion or not and the Champs Elysees is the perfect place for it. I'm actually going to be putting together a post about shopping in London and Paris so stay tuned!

After buying some souvenirs and doing some window shopping at Louis Vuitton and Cartier we were all excited for our next stop. We headed to Laduree where I always dreamed about going in Paris! This is another place that deserves it's own blog post (coming soon) but here's a preview of that magical place.

And that's just from the outside! Wait till you see it on the inside! I promise you, you'll want to move in! It's like a fairytale...*sighs*.

Afterwards, we all headed to the final dinner which EF College Break hosted (free food, hello! lol) and went back to the hotel to say our goodbyes. There was tons of tears shed and hilarious moments such as a random tourist asking us for change after awkwardly watching us cry about leaving haha. Of course, my new travel friends and I promised each other that this isn't our last trip together and we're already planning our new one! Can't say where it is yet but hopefully it will be next summer! I've learned that traveling is great and all, but being able to share the journey with some amazing people made it even better. That's why I decided to end this post with a picture with my tour group and one of my favorite quotes (what else is new?) that always comforted me whenever I came back from vacation.

"There's never an end to a trip, just another destination."

Hope you enjoyed this post,

Shirt: Express // Skirt: J. Crew, on sale! // Bag: Michael Kors "Sutton" // Shoes: Lucky Brand // Watch: Michael Kors

There's many moments that have been ingrained into my memory from my trip to London and Paris and this is defiantly one of them. Shooting outfit pictures in front of the Louvre! No surprise right? I fell in love with the museum and it's beauty so I thought it was the perfect location for an outfit post. Of course, it wasn't easy with tons of tourists photo-bombing a bunch of pictures and wondering what exactly we're doing while trying to get detail shots haha. In the end it was worth it though!

As I mentioned in my London outfit post, looking stylish while traveling is hard. I managed to find a balance between comfort and style with my comfy denim shirt from Express, this adorable pink skirt from J. Crew (it has pockets, so perfect!), and my nude flats that go with everything. Personally I think it's easier to wear simple clothes while traveling since you could easily mix and match everything. Also, I prefer going minimal on the jewelry since it could easily be lost or stolen. The only regret I have is not bringing a crossbody bag with me. Since I had my DSLR wherever I went, I needed a bag that it would fit in so I opted for the MK bag. HUGE MISTAKE! After a couple of hours my arm was hurting even when I didn't have the camera in it! Lesson learned haha.

Hope you enjoyed this post,

Paris Day 2

Another day, another adventure. Here's the second part of my Paris adventure! I can honestly say the second day was my favorite because I finally got to visit one of the places that I always dreamed about going in Paris... THE LOUVRE! It's an amazing feeling to get things crossed off your bucket list. The Louvre met all my expectations, I could spend hours in there just wandering around and getting lost in the beautiful art. Talk about a perfect day! Due to the length of this post being ridiculously long, I'm going to make a separate post dedicated to this wonderful museum that will be up next week!

Here's a sneak peek of what's to come:

The whole time I didn't know where to look because everything around me was so beautiful including the ceiling!

Of course, the outside was just as beautiful (and crowded) as the inside:

Afterwards, we headed to the Pantheon which is a burial place of many famous French icons. I actually didn't know about this place beforehand so it was nice learning about something new that I haven't researched for hours before haha

Since we were only there for such a short period of time, we had to spend every possible minute of the day walking from site to site. I remember being exhausted every single day of this trip but it was worth it! Who gets tired when they get to see the Notre Dame?!

The last thing we did that day is pretty much the reason why we all came to see the Eiffel Tower! Yes we went back a second time to take better pictures, instead of those up close ones that we originally got haha. Of course, I just had to take a selfie! Get this, Paris is such a magical place that just taking one selfie in front of the Tower turns out to be perfect. Do you know how rare it is to take a good selfie on the first try?!

We ended the day by taking the elevator up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower to see the city at sunset. Such a gorgeous view!

Oh and I mention I ate crepes while waiting for the Eiffel Tower to light up? What an ending to a magical day!

Hope you enjoyed this long post!
